Children's Castle
Children will enter a medieval castle
setting in which they can explore the castle grounds and discover exciting
surprises! There is ample opportunity for role-playing and interaction. They
will visit a Blacksmith Shop to shoe their horses, lending the squire a hand in
the Stable. The children will plant and pick vegetables in the Garden to
prepare their royal feast, using a trestle table, cauldron and food props in the
Great Hall. There are costumes for the children to dress up in as the Lords,
Ladies, Knights, Jesters and “commoners.” The youngest visitors to the
Children’s Castle will discover the Keep, a miniature castle within the
exhibit. The Children’s Castle exhibit opens Sunday, May 18.
The Campsite
Young children, and those who are children at heart,
can go on the ultimate outdoor adventure without even going outside! Our
campsite comes equipped with a tent, a row boat, materials to build a fire,
child-sized outdoor furniture, and a huge bear! Our campsite area also
holds a large collection of books and a big comfy chair for those in need of a
break.
Don't forget to stop and check out
