Pet Rocks
Materials:
- Large, smooth rocks
- Acrylic Paint
- Paint brush
- Googly eyes
- Feathers
- Craft Glue
- Q-tips
- Newspaper
- Waxed paper
Steps:
First, choose a rock; either from outside, or you can buy nice smooth rocks at a craft store.
Next choose a color of acrylic paint to use as a “base” color for your rock. Let it dry. To make a creature out of the rock, add spots, stripes or other paint details next. Let dry.
Finally, glue on goggly eyes, feathers, or other items with craft glue. If you glued items on the back like arms or feet, dry on waxed paper to avoid sticking. For fine lines and dots, practice on newspaper first. Be sure to let paint dry fully before adding sequins and other items.
